About us
Tal Hopkins is a Chartered Engineer with almost 30 years experience delivering turnkey projects in heavily regulated industries such as the oil and gas, chemical and steel making industries. He's an ATEX/DSEAR subject matter expert, delivering DSEAR Risk Assessments and Hazardous Area Classifications across a diverse range of industries and British/International Standards including IEC60079-10-1, IEC60079-10-2, IGEM/SR/25 and EI15.
Tal has been a TUV Rheinland Functional Safety Engineer since 2011, and has supported multiple clients with all aspects of the Functional Safety Lifecycle, from Functional Safety Management Policies and Assessments, LOPA/HAZOP, SRS Development, SIL Verification and Operation & Maintenance of Safety Instrumented Systems.
An engaging and enthusiastic speaker, Tal has been delivering CompEx Training for many years, and is a regular face at Industry conferences such a HazardEx Live!, bringing his own unique perspective on the industry to subject matter experts from across the UK.
